Prague Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Tomáš Netopil Unofficial

The Prague Symphony Orchestra, one of the Czech Republic’s most prestigious ensembles, will take the stage at Suntory Hall alongside its principal conductor and music director, Tomáš Netopil. Netopil is a highly accomplished artist who has enjoyed a brilliant career at opera houses and orchestras across Europe. For this performance, he will be joined by the up-and-coming pianist Mitsuyoshi Kaneko, who is celebrating the 15th anniversary of his debut in Japan. The program opens with Beethoven’s “Egmont” Overture and continues with the majestic and profound Piano Concerto No. 5, “Emperor.” The second half will feature Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, “From the New World”—a work synonymous with the composer’s name—offering a special opportunity to savor the essence of the meticulous and passionate music woven by Netopil and the orchestra.
