Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Symphony Orchestra: Orchestra Day 2027—Masterpieces Concert Unofficial

To commemorate “Orchestra Day” on March 31, the Mount Fuji Shizuoka Symphony Orchestra presents a special concert featuring classic masterpieces. Principal Conductor Ken Takaseki will lead the orchestra, with Principal Second Violinist Seika Okada as soloist and guest concertmaster Hamio Fujiwara. The program features a selection of musical gems, including Tchaikovsky’s elegant Serenade for Strings, Bruch’s emotionally rich Violin Concerto No. 1, and Ravel’s “Boléro,” which boasts a spectacular climax. Held at the Shimizu Cultural Hall Marinart in Shizuoka City, this is a day to fully immerse yourself in the orchestra’s rich sound. With free admission for those 18 and under, supported by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, the concert also offers children—the next generation—an opportunity to experience authentic music.
