Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra The 179th Subscription Concert Unofficial

Artistic Director Yutaka Sado and two-time Grammy Award-winning world-renowned clarinet virtuoso Richard Stoltzman will perform together in a spectacular collaboration. The centerpiece of the program is "Fantasma/Cantos," written for him by Stoltzman's close friend and composer Toru Takemitsu. This will be a rare opportunity for the deep world of Takemitsu's music to intermingle with the sounds of the clarinet. The second half of the concert will feature Schumann's Symphony No. 2, in which the orchestra's solid ensemble skills will be on full display.
