Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra The 176th Subscription Concert Unofficial

With Paul Daniel, one of Britain's leading masters, at the helm, we will present a special program that will give you a taste of British music at its best. The first half of the program will feature Elgar's masterpiece, the Cello Concerto, published in 1919, just after the First World War. Up-and-coming cellist Sakine Toba will take up the challenge of playing this deeply emotional and melancholy piece. The second half of the concert will feature Holst's "The Planets," a magnificent tale of the universe. Please come and experience the overwhelming universe of sound created by a large orchestra. This is a performance that will bring you in touch with the essence of British music, and you will enjoy a number of masterpieces that are well worth listening to. Please note that preschool children are not allowed to enter the concert hall.
