Under the theme “Beyond Boundaries: Paving the Way for the Future of Orchestral Music,” this special concert presents ambitious new works by composers active at the forefront of contemporary music. Conducted by Takeshi Oi and featuring Japan’s premier orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, the concert will present the world premieres of new and revised works by four composers: Masahiro Yamauchi, Fumiko Kojiiba, Yuan Guo, and Takuya Imahori. Featuring accomplished soloists Mizuki Aida on marimba and Yasuko Otani on violin, the program is designed to break new ground in orchestral music. A pre-concert talk is scheduled before the performance, offering a valuable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of these contemporary works.
