Duo: Ana Filipa Leiteão (soprano) & Michio Ohara (1817 Broadwood square piano)

Musicians from opposite ends of the world have come together. One is Portuguese vocalist Ana Filipa Leiteão. She has a deep love for Japanese culture and will realize her dream in 2023 and again this year, 2026—the dream of singing songs in Japanese in Japan. The other is Michio Ohara, who studied music in Germany but has carried the spirit of Portugal within him since 2011—so much so that he traveled to the National Library of Portugal to unearth unknown Portuguese musical works buried in history. They are active not only in Japan but also in Portugal, at venues such as the National Instrument Museum, the Oriente Foundation, Linda a Velha, and the Almada Music School.
