We are pleased to present the seventh concert in the eight-part series “With Beethoven,” featuring pianist Seiko Miyamoto. The theme of this concert is “A Musical Journey Through Vienna.” Focusing on Vienna—the city of music where countless great composers brought their talents to full bloom—we will explore its rich cultural and musical heritage. The performer visited Vienna in May and will share the atmosphere and impressions of the city she experienced firsthand through her own eyes and ears, interspersing her performance with photographs and commentary. The program features works by Mozart and Beethoven, who were active in Vienna, as well as a collection of impromptus by Schubert, who was born and raised there.
