This performance is presented by “Kodo,” a taiko performance troupe based in Sado that continues to explore the boundless possibilities of traditional music and performing arts centered on the taiko drum. In this tour, titled “Haruka—,” the troupe will present a performance that fuses the physical expression they have cultivated over many years with the resonance of the taiko, in an attempt to create a new form of performing art for the modern era. The powerful sound of the taiko drums, often likened to a heartbeat, stirs the souls of the audience and envelops the venue with a resonance that transcends time and space. Their performances, which honor tradition while constantly evolving, are sure to leave the audience deeply moved and energized.
