The fifth installment of “Special Grand Concerto,” a series featuring “must-see” events, returns even more powerful than ever, incorporating new challenges. Miyu Shindo, who made headlines in the music world in 2025 at the “Chopin International Piano Competition,” has once again secured a spot in the finals, following her semi-final appearance last time. This prodigious talent, whose performance of Chopin in the fourth installment of this series moved audiences just before the competition, will return to perform one of Rachmaninoff’s major works. Yukine Kuroki, who has won prizes in major competitions—including the Liszt, Dublin, and Rubinstein competitions—one after another and is already in high demand around the world, makes her debut in this series. She will showcase her true talent with a masterpiece by Tchaikovsky. Furthermore, Shu Katayama—a composer and pianist whose unique charm is truly one-of-a-kind—will personally give the world premiere of a “commissioned new work” created exclusively for this series. We invite you to join us in enjoying the moving experience of witnessing a work being created right here and now.
