Duo Fern: Germany—Bringing Music from a Distant Era to the Present—

Duo fern, formed by two musicians who honed their skills at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart in Germany, will hold their long-awaited debut performance in Japan at the Oizumi Gakuen Yumeria Hall. “fern” means “far” in German, and the duo’s concept is to convey music from distant eras to the present day and to reflect on the spirit of the people who lived in those times. This ensemble, featuring the unusual combination of piano and guitar, will treat the audience to a delicate and profound musical journey—ranging from the crystalline tones of Bach to the graceful melodies of Gluck and the brilliant Grand Sonata by Diabelli.
