Shizuka Mitsui & Ruka Yokoyama Duo Recital Unofficial

We are pleased to present a special collaboration between Shizuka Mitsui, a highly accomplished cellist with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra in Germany, and Ruka Yokoyama, a pianist who has expanded her career both in Japan and abroad after studying at the Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School and the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts in Germany. The program, in which the two musicians engage head-on, is a grand challenge: the complete Beethoven Cello Sonatas. This is a rare opportunity to experience a performance steeped in European flair right here in Hokkaido, the hometown of Ruka Yokoyama, who hails from Tomakomai. Their sublime ensemble—woven from refined technique and profound musical dialogue—is sure to move the audience deeply.
