2026/10/12(mo.) 13:30 Starting

Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall, Main HallKanagawa

The Porto Philharmonic Orchestra is an ensemble formed by a group of dedicated amateur musicians, primarily working professionals in their 20s and 30s, active in the Tokyo metropolitan area. Named after “Porto,” the Italian word for “port,” the orchestra aims to be a place where people with diverse backgrounds can freely interact and share music.

For its 5th regular concert, the orchestra has chosen the theme “Vienna: Learning from the Past,” and will take on famous works associated with Vienna.
The program features the overture to Mozart’s opera *The Marriage of Figaro*, which premiered in Vienna; the graceful Oboe Concerto by R. Strauss, who deeply admired Mozart; and Mahler’s magnificent Symphony No. 1, composed by a conductor who made his mark at the Vienna State Opera.
We are pleased to welcome Kanami Araki, principal oboist of the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, as the soloist for the Oboe Concerto, promising an even more profound musical experience.
Please join us at the venue to enjoy this special evening, crafted with heartfelt dedication by our entire ensemble, where you can experience both the traditions of Vienna and a breath of fresh inspiration.
