Pipe Organ Promenade Concert, No. 1615: Mizuka Obata Unofficial

This is a free organ concert held in the entrance hall of the Art Tower Mito, open to everyone. The featured performer is Mizuka Obata, who honed her skills at the Tokyo University of the Arts and has earned high acclaim as an ensemble pianist throughout Japan. Focusing primarily on church music, Ms. Obata will use the rich resonance of the pipe organ to present a compelling program featuring works such as Tagashi Sakai’s “Fantasy Suite Based on Akita Folk Songs” and Reger’s “I Hear a Voice Calling, ‘Awake!’.” All seats are unreserved, and no advance reservation is required—everyone is welcome to attend. Please enjoy a special moment enveloped in the delicate yet dynamic tones of the pipe organ within the hall’s open and airy space. Please note that two performances are scheduled for the day—one at 12:00 and another at 13:30. As seating is limited, we recommend arriving early.
