We are pleased to present a piano recital by Kotaro Fukuma, a pianist who has continued to enjoy a brilliant international career ever since becoming the first Japanese winner of the Cleveland International Piano Competition and recipient of the Chopin Prize at the age of 20. He has appeared on numerous media programs, including “Tetsuko’s Room” and “The Concert Without a Title,” and continues to captivate fans with his exceptional expressiveness, diverse repertoire, and international sensibility—he is fluent in five languages. For this recital, we present a highly conceptual and beautiful program themed “A Journey on Water Woven by Kotaro Fukuma.” In addition to famous water-themed masterpieces by composers such as Mendelssohn and Debussy, the program features works by Wagner and Smetana arranged by Fukuma himself. Please enjoy to your heart’s content this grand tale of water brought to life by a single piano. A signing session is also scheduled to take place after the performance. We invite you to come to the venue and enjoy this rare opportunity to experience a world-class performance up close.
