"Praying for Peace": The Sound of the Pipe Organ 2026

We are pleased to announce a charity pipe organ concert featuring Mr. Yakub Ghazawi, an organist active in the Holy City of Jerusalem!!
Mr. Yakub is a musician who has performed at important Christian holy sites such as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (Jerusalem), the Church of the Nativity (Bethlehem), and the Church of the Annunciation (Nazareth). From 2017 to 2020, he also served as the principal organist at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
In addition to his pipe organ performance, Mr. Gazawi will share insights into daily life in Jerusalem from his perspective as a resident, as well as the current situation in the region, including Gaza. We hope this concert will provide a moment to quietly reflect on peace through music.
This event is being held as a charity concert, and all proceeds, as well as donations collected on the day of the event, will be allocated to humanitarian aid for people in Gaza facing difficult circumstances, regardless of religion or age.

Yacoub Ghazzawi
Israeli national (Arab). Born on March 30, 1989, in Jerusalem. He studied piano at the Jerusalem Magnificat Conservatory from an early age, completing courses in music theory and piano. He completed a course in pipe organ for liturgical music at the Department of Music, University of Vicenza, Italy, studying under Father Armando Pierucci.
Since 2008, he has served as organist at the Church of the Holy Savior (Jerusalem Parish), and from 2016 to the present, he has served as principal organist for the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land (Terra Sancta). He performs at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (Jerusalem), the Church of the Nativity (Bethlehem), and the Church of the Annunciation (Nazareth), among others. From 2017 to 2020, he served as Principal Organist at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
He is also involved in educational activities, teaching piano at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and the Arts and liturgical music at the Beit Jala Seminary, affiliated with the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome. He is also the founder, conductor, and accompanist of the Jerusalem Knights Choir.
