For this day,
We arranged "Rossini Dances" and "Mendelssohn On Wings of Song" for mixed chorus. The chorus members liked it and enjoyed singing it.
In 2026, the 100th anniversary of the Showa Era, we will also perform a famous song from the Showa Era.
The music hall of Salvia Hall (100 seats) will be filled with the chorus's singing voices!
＜In the evening performance, we welcome Mr. Toshiya Gomi and the Kawasaki Citizen's Symphony Chamber Orchestra for a concert of "Baroque Music of Treasures".
Mr. Hayateru Maruta (Assistant Conductor of Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra) will conduct the orchestra, which will perform Vivaldi Gloria, Brandenburg Concerto No. 5, and many other baroque masterpieces. The soprano soloist is Miki Shibata, the organizer.
The alto soloist, countertenor Sojin Nitta, has a special attachment to this piece, one of the pieces he studied while studying in Italy, and his wonderful voice is sure to be heard.
In the first part, the chamber orchestra will present an exquisite performance of Bach's concerto, bringing us closer to the essence of Baroque music. In the second part, the choir will perform Vivaldi's masterpiece "Gloria" and other masterpieces by Bach and Handel. The concert will be conducted by Hayateru Maruta, Assistant Conductor of the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra, with soloists Sojin Nitta, countertenor, and Miki Shibata, soprano, among others. In addition, several groups will perform together, led by the chorus ensemble IRIS, to create a thick choral sound.
