Chiyomi Takayama Soprano & Jun Shimada Piano Concert

This concert will be the first triumphant return of soprano Chiyomi Takayama in eight years.
This will be the sixth time the concert has been held at the Medikit Kenmin Bunka Center, and a heartwarming program has been prepared.
The featured performer is the young pianist Jun Shimada, whose teacher is Eric Roux, first prize winner of the International Chopin Piano Competition in 2025. Last year, his master and pupil both competed in the final competition together, which was broadcast on NHK Special and attracted a great deal of attention. This is a rare opportunity to experience his piano performance in Miyazaki, where he possesses solid technique and fresh sensitivity.
In addition, local pianist Michiyo Obara and her relative Michio Inada, who celebrated his 84th birthday this year, will also perform, creating a heartwarming ensemble. This will be a special time to feel the bond of family and the joy of music.
