Tokyo Kammerphilharmonie The 32nd Subscription Concert

The 32nd Subscription Concert opens with the dramatic sounds of Beethoven's overture "Coriolan. In "Love is a Magician" by Falla, which celebrates the 150th anniversary of his birth this year, we welcome mezzo-soprano Hitomi Kaga to present a world where the passion and fantastic colors of Spanish music intersect. The sharp rhythms, light and shadow from the dance, and the dense atmosphere created by the singer's voice are a major attraction of this work. The second half of the program will feature Beethoven's Symphony No. 4. This masterpiece, full of supple propulsive force and vitality, will be performed by a dense ensemble that only a chamber orchestra can provide. The program will be conducted by Maestro Keita Matsui, who has been serving as the permanent conductor of the Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa and is currently attracting a great deal of attention.
