This year marks the 11th year of Miho Hirai's "Miho Hirai's Serious! In this 11th year of the "Lecture Series," we are pleased to announce the realization of a long-awaited project! We welcome Mr. Takatsugu Kakeda, one of Japan's top baroque cello players, who will give a concert "The Birth of the Cello! & Talk "The Art of Ensemble - Bass Cello". The concert will trace the birth of the cello in Italy in the late 17th century and the evolution of cello works, while the talk "The Art of Ensemble - Bass Cello" will be a frank discussion of ensembles from a bass player's point of view.
