The 171st subscription concert of the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra (PAC) marks the beginning of its 21st season. Conductor/Artistic Director Yutaka Sado will present the Japan premiere of Lindberg's Viola Concerto with world-renowned violist Lawrence Power. In the second half, the orchestra will commemorate the 120th anniversary of Shostakovich's birth with a performance of his stunning Symphony No. 10. This 50-minute work, written with intense passion and conflict against the backdrop of the death of dictator Stalin, will be performed by the dense ensemble of Yutaka Sado and the PAC.
