Memorial Concert for Dr. Soichi Minegishi

This "Memorial Concert" will be held in memory of Mr. Soichi Minegishi, who devoted himself to the development of flute music in Japan.
Mr. Shigenori Kudo, the executive committee chairman, has called for people who were directly involved with Mr. Minegishi, his juniors, and his students, and more than 100 flutists will gather for the concert.
After graduating from Keio University, he joined the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and later founded the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, where he later served as principal flutist. He also participated in the establishment of the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra in 1972, and served as its principal player for many years. As an instructor, Mr. Kudo has devoted himself not only to the flute world but also to the development of music culture.
Shigenori Kudo, the executive committee chairman, said, "We planned this concert in the hope that as many people as possible would perform, including those who were directly involved with Mr. Minegishi and those who had a chance to get to know him. We would like to perform in memory of Dr. Minegishi. We hope that many people will attend. I hope many of you will come.
