Encounters in the daytime and excitement reaches its peak in the evening...
Oji Hall, a dedicated chamber music hall in Ginza, will be the stage for a one-day music festival that offers a taste of the charms of chamber music.

Chamber music? It seems a little difficult, or maybe it's just a bunch of music I don't know" - this is the music festival for those who think so. The wonder of the sound being perfectly in tune without a conductor, the fascination of making music while the players look at each other and talk to each other with their breathing. The moment when the individual sounds overlap and resonate with each other is the charm of chamber music.

The festival consists of daytime and evening performances.

The daytime performances are open to those who are new to chamber music, and there are three parts to the program.

The first part opens with a string quartet led by the much-celebrated violinist Chiharu Taki. The theme from "Star Wars," Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik," and Barber's "Adagio for Strings," among others, will be performed to a familiar yet authentic sound.

In the second part, an open lesson, you will experience how music is refined and created right in front of your eyes. You will be able to experience the depth of chamber music, which is difficult to see only by listening to it.

In the third part, Aimi Nakajima will perform the trumpet solo from the Ghibli movie "Laputa: Castle in the Sky. The audience will be enveloped by the rich sound of the trumpet as it descends from the third-floor balcony of the chamber music hall. In addition, a variety of works will be performed, including the world-famous Schumann, Elgar known for his "Dignity," and Martineau clad in a jazz flavor. The audience will enjoy the wide-ranging appeal of chamber music, experiencing the passion of the Romantic period, the elegance of English music, and the stylish sound of modern works.

For the final evening performance, Eric Silberger, a violinist who won a prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition, will make his long-awaited first visit to Japan. The piano will be played by Brandt Frederiksen, who has been described by the international media as "overwhelmingly talented" and "with rhythmic dynamism and expert technique. The two world-renowned musicians will perform in an intense duo.

The daytime performance will be an encounter with chamber music, followed by an open lesson to learn how to create it, a variety of works to expand your world, and finally an evening performance to deeply immerse yourself in a first-class performance. Listening to them throughout the day will surely change the way you enjoy chamber music.

A special value through ticket is also available for both the day and evening performances. Whether you are new to chamber music or already a chamber music lover, enjoy a day immersed in chamber music in Ginza.
