Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra The 178th Subscription Concert Unofficial

Special Guest Conductor Mikhail Pletnyov will appear with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra in a subscription concert to perform his own composition 14 Musical Memories and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4. 14 Musical Memories" is a collection of gems written in 2024 based on Pletnyov's own musical memories from his childhood and adolescence, and the audience can look forward to a performance of his own compositions under the baton of the maestro himself. The second half of the program features Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4, which is extremely important repertoire for Pletnyov. Pletnyov's unique interpretation of the work from an intellectual and philosophical perspective, as well as from an emotional one, will bring out new depths of the work.
