As part of the Grieg Society of Japan Project Vol. 44, we are pleased to present "Winds from Sweden, Summer Concert 2026," an interplay of Nordic and French sentiments. The first part will feature lyrical chamber music by Swedish composers such as Sjogren, Steenhammar, and Mayer, as well as a sonatina by Ravel. The second part will focus on Edvard Grieg, a key figure in the association, and will offer a program of lyric pieces, songs such as "I Love You," and Norwegian dances for four hands, allowing the audience to enjoy his diverse appeal. The talented performers, including soprano Motoko Mabuchi, mezzo-soprano Rieko Okawa, and violinist Chiho Suzuki, will provide a cool sound on a midsummer afternoon.
