Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra The 550th Subscription Concert Unofficial

Conducted by Kazuhiro Koizumi, Music Director Emeritus of the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, this dramatic program vividly depicts the contrast between light and darkness. In the first half, young Beethoven's "Piano Concerto No. 1" will be performed by Wataru Hisasue, who has won the second prize at the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition, and his piano solo will shine with dazzling brilliance. The second half of the concert will feature Liszt's "Dante Symphony," a magnificent drama of wandering between hell and purgatory. The final piece is mystically colored by the female choir of Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music, and the audience is deeply moved by their singing.
