Mozart "Six Divertimentos" KV439b on historical basset horn

This instrument has a slightly unusual appearance, bent into a "ku" shape. Various works were written for this instrument, which became popular in Europe in the latter half of the 18th century, including many by W.A. Mozart (1756-1791). Among them are many works by W.A. Mozart (1756-1791). This time, we will focus on Mozart's Divertimento KV439b, which is still very popular today, and perform it in its entirety on instruments of the time, in a bold and somewhat maniacal project. Today, KV439b is often known as "Five Divertimentos" with 25 movements, but this concert will present a total of 30 pieces including "Five Unknown Movements" over two days.
This time we will use the score (2020), which was revised and published based on a manuscript discovered in 1937 at the castle in Seissenburg, Austria. The original transcription from the castle in Seissenburg is said to have been written around 1789, making it the oldest extant copy of the score. In other words, it is the only score that existed when Mozart was alive. This edition also includes Mozart's opera arrangements, which will be performed as "Five Unknown Movements. This edition is very interesting to us because of the way it is depicted in the score, which is different from the widely circulated scores today.
