The second installment of the Junko Watanabe Harpsichord Music Series 2026 will feature a performance of lieder on a fortepiano (Ferdinand Hoffmann model) made around 1795. Soprano Yukiko Watanabe will join the orchestra to perform the essence of German lieder in the intimate and resonant space of the Imai-kan Bible Auditorium. The audience will be able to enjoy Mozart's "Violets" and "Longing for Spring" and Schubert's "Wild Roses" and "Ave Maria" to the fullest, along with the delicate tones of these historic instruments.
