Ensemble Levent in Yamanashi
A Fresh Breeze of Wind Music Blows Through Yamanashi
2026/07/08(We.) 19:00 Starting
YCC Prefectural Cultural Hall (Yamanashi Prefectural Cultural Hall) Small Hall (Yamanashi)
This concert marks the first-ever visit to Yamanashi Prefecture by the wind and percussion ensemble Ensemble Levan. Inspired by Takeda Shingen’s “Wind, Forest, Fire, Mountain,” the program centers on the theme of “Wind,” featuring a rich and varied lineup ranging from beloved wind band classics to authentic classical pieces and a powerful Japanese taiko drum solo. Thanks to support from the Agency for Cultural Affairs, admission is free for those 18 and under, and we encourage families to attend together. Featuring everything from solo performances by professional musicians to ensemble pieces, as well as interactive activities like a chance to try conducting, this approximately 90-minute show offers a high-quality cultural experience for audiences of all ages. We invite you to come to the venue and experience this moment overflowing with the energy of music.

[Group Profile]
A wind ensemble consisting of 13 wind and percussion players, formed in 2014 primarily by graduates of the Tokyo University of the Arts. Members are active in various fields, including as members of or guest performers with professional orchestras in Tokyo.
In fiscal year 2024, the group was selected for the Agency for Cultural Affairs’ School Touring Performance Program—an unusual achievement for a voluntary organization without legal entity status—and is actively working to convey the appeal of music to children across the country.
Selected for the Agency for Cultural Affairs’ Comprehensive Support Program for Performing Arts (School Touring Performances) in fiscal years 2025 and 2026.
The group has visited elementary and junior high schools in Yamanashi Prefecture in fiscal years 2024 and 2026 (this fiscal year) to share their music.

The program is subject to change on the day of the event. It will include a "Try Your Hand at Conducting" segment and solo performances by woodwind and brass players (with audience members selected on the day of the event).
