The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Eastern Area Band was established in 1960 and covers the Kanto Koshinetsu region and 10 prefectures including Shizuoka Prefecture. The concert will be held for the enjoyment of local residents. The conductor is Mr. Ichiro Sakai, 2nd Lt. Col. and commander of the JGSDF Eastern Area Music Corps. In addition to performances of pieces for the 2026 All Japan Band Competition, the concert will include "Souhi Reishi Jorurihime no Shizuku" by Masanori Taruya and "Highlights from the Movie 'ALWAYS: Sunset on Third Street'" by Naoki Sato, as well as other pieces familiar to people of all ages.
