Along with the Rhine, the Danube is one of Europe's great rivers. The Danube is a water highway that starts in the Alps and runs through Eastern Europe as a major artery. Its rich flow is also a cultural road that connects Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, to Vienna, only a few dozen kilometers away. Slovakia is a country of music, born of the Slavic land and rich nature and nurtured by its long history. It is a rare country that continues to develop in its own unique way. While Slovakia has produced internationally renowned singers such as Edita Gruberova and Lucia Popp, it has also maintained its own unique musical style. This is especially true of orchestras. While orchestras around the world are becoming more homogenized and losing their individuality, the KOOZA Orchestra, as if going against the trend, has maintained a musicality that is dense, aromatic, and full of a richness that cannot be found anywhere else. The Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra is a representative orchestra of this musical country. The orchestra has been under the tutelage of many famous conductors and has earned a reputation as one of the best in Europe. The orchestra is known for its tight ensemble, which lives up to its name as the "Land of Strings. One of the charms of the orchestra is that it is full of poetic sentiment and songfulness, which touches the heartstrings of the Japanese.

The Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra is scheduled to tour Japan from June to July 2026, marking its return to Japan after a three-year absence since its first visit in 2023. The soloists will be Alexei Gorlach, who has the air of a maestro, and Olga Scheps, a talented Russian princess.
