Trio MEZZO was formed in 2020 by three students who studied at Tokyo University of the Arts, and is characterized by its warm tone and soft musicality. In this recital, you can enjoy the delicate sounds of Hitomi Kawai, mezzo-soprano, Keiko Murata, viola, and Yuki Tsujita, piano. They showcase their versatility through Hermann Reuter's deep worldview, Hindemith's powerful viola sonata, and Leffler's poetic songs. In addition, "Tangent of the Wind" by Ayako Nada, commissioned by Trio MEZZO, will be performed for the first time. This new work, based on a poem by Haruo Fujita and written especially for the three performers, will bring out their musicality to the fullest, providing a special opportunity to discover the charm of new chamber music in the wonderful sound space of Hakuju Hall.
