NHK Symphony Orchestra Meidensha presents Meikyoku Concert 2026 Unofficial

In this concert of masterpieces by the NHK Symphony Orchestra, you will hear a combination of musicians who know each other well and will challenge each other to the utmost in masterpieces. The concert will open with Sibelius' "Andante Festivo" and the beautiful harmony of the strings of the NHK Symphony Orchestra. Prokofiev's "Violin Concerto No. 2" will be performed by the up-and-coming soloist Ren Goko, who will take the solo part with his versatile expressive power. In the second half, Tchaikovsky's "Symphony No. 5" will inspire the audience with its dramatic development from passionate music that defies fate to a triumphant declaration of victory. Conductor Tadaaki Otaka, a regular conductor with the NHK Symphony Orchestra for more than 50 years, will conduct.
