As a national co-production opera for fiscal 2026, Verdi's opera "Il Trovatore" will be presented in a new production in four acts, performed in Italian with Japanese and English subtitles. The production, conducted by Jun Iizaka and directed by Micho Takagishi, will feature an outstanding cast of singers including Yasuko Sato as Leonora, Hiroaki Fuehta as Manrico, Kasumi Shimizu as Azucena, Takashi Aoyama as Count Luna, Hirohisa Sando as Ferrando, Momoko Nashitani as Ines, and Ryoichi Nakai as Luis.
