The Hamamoto Opera Project (HOP) was formed under the leadership of conductor Hiroyo Hamamoto. Young and student performers take charge of the vocal music, orchestra, direction, production, stage staff, and other fields necessary for performing opera as a "comprehensive performing art," and create their own productions.

1. opera performance with orchestral accompaniment
Under the direction of Hirohiro Hamamoto, HOP will perform an opera with full orchestral accompaniment, which is rare for an amateur opera group. HOP will provide the audience with the unique sound of an orchestra so that they can enjoy the original charm of the work.

2. performances in small and medium-sized theaters
Most opera performances with orchestral accompaniment are given by professional groups in large theaters. In order to break through the image that opera is "expensive" and "costly," HOP offers relatively inexpensive tickets for performances through its activities in small and medium-sized theaters. HOP aims to approach a new audience segment that has not been familiar with opera and contribute to the promotion of music culture.

3. fostering young performers and staff
Opera is a comprehensive performing art that combines vocal music, instrumental music, theater, and many other fields, and requires a large number of staff to perform. At the same time, we aim to train stage production staff. Through the experience of working together to create opera performances, HOP will expand the essential ways in which opera can be involved, creating new value from the works.
