Hideki Togi 30th Anniversary Tour
TOGISM of Eternity and Innovation
2026/10/11(su.) 15:00 Starting
This concert tour commemorates the 30th anniversary of Hideki Togi, one of Japan's leading masters of gagaku (ancient Japanese court music). The first part of the concert will be themed "Silk Road," tracing the origins of music, and the melodies spun by ancient instruments such as the sho, Hichichiriki, dragon flute, and biwa will evoke memories of Gagaku and the East and West in Japan. The second part of the concert will feature a rock sound that fuses the past and the future, the world and Japan, intersecting with Western band sounds with a Japanese resonance at its core. His son Norichika Togi, a guitarist and Gagaku (Japanese ancient court music) performer, will also perform, expressing the succession of music to the next generation that has been spun by father-son collaboration. Please come to the venue to feel Hideki Togi's present state and enjoy the one and only stage that presents new possibilities of Gagaku, from the classics to new works.
