Hideki Togi 30th Anniversary Tour
TOGISM of Eternity and Innovation
2026/10/11(su.) 15:00 Starting
Hitachi Systems Hall Sendai (Sendai City Youth Cultural Center) Koryu Hall (Miyagi)
This concert tour commemorates the 30th anniversary of Hideki Togi, one of Japan's leading masters of gagaku (ancient Japanese court music). In the first part of the concert, under the theme of "Silk Road," which traces the origin of music, you can enjoy the unique world of Gagaku woven by instruments from the ancient Silk Road, such as sho, Hichichiriki, dragon flute, and biwa. In the second part, the sounds of Gagaku are transformed into rock music, blending Japanese and Western band sounds. An innovative sound is developed where the past and the future, the world and Japan intersect on one stage. The collaboration with his son, Norichika Togi, a guitarist and Gagaku player, evokes the emotion of music being passed on to the next generation. We hope you will enjoy this special stage filled with Hideki Togi's respect for classical gagaku and new challenges, where you can feel the "now" of Hideki Togi.
