The "Kogakudan Aoba" has been holding concerts to familiarize the audience with ancient music (music of old Europe) on instruments of the style of the time. This year's 10th concert, entitled "Door to Baroque Music II," will present colorful music by 17th- and 18th-century European composers such as D. Buxtehude, Dornel, Janitsch, Rameau, Telemann, and J. C. Bach. The seven instruments (flauto traverso, baroque oboe, baroque violin, viola, viola da gamba, soprano, baroque harp, and harpsichord) and songs are woven together to present a profound and beautiful world of baroque music. The talented players will bring out the best of the ancient instruments with their sensitive and rich expression, and the sounds of the instruments with their historical backgrounds and their transparent voices will captivate the audience for a special moment.
