Tsukumi Kashinomimi Boys and Girls Choir 44th Regular Concert

Tsukumi Kashinomimi Boys and Girls Choir is a children's choir founded in 1979 in Tsukumi, Oita Prefecture. Since then, over the past 40 years, more than 60 children ranging in age from 3 to 18 have continued to add color to the culture of Tsukumi with their energetic singing voices and rich expressions.

Last year, the chorus was in charge of the epilogue of the 43rd National Convention for the Creation of a Rich Sea - Onsen Prefecture Oita Convention" ceremony held at iichiko Grand Theater on November 10, 2024 in the presence of the Emperor and Empress of Japan. We also performed at the Saiki City Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries Festival "Matsuri-nippo Autumn Harvest Festival" and "Requiem for Children" (August 2025, iichiko Sound Fountain Hall), a stage performance to convey the unknown tragedy during the war through drama and music, bringing the songs of local children to many people. The performance was a great success.

This year's 44th subscription concert will consist of four stages.

Classical music with cello: "The Swan" by Saint-Saens, etc. / Guest: Mr. Reo Ienaga (cellist)
Suginami Musical "Children on a field trip with a giraffe" / Guest: Mr. Yosuke Otsuka (Suginami Children's Chorus alumnus)

We will bring you a time filled with warmth and energy because children from young children to high school students will be on the same stage. The program will cross genres from classical music to children's songs and musicals, and will be fully enjoyed by children and adults alike. We hope you will enjoy the singing voices and smiling faces of the children.
