After the concert, a talk session "What kind of country is Venezuela on the other side of the world" by Takuma Azuma, a musician who has lived in Venezuela will be held.

Message from the performers
I feel that Bach's unaccompanied works have three streams in common with church music.
(1) Expression of emotion (I)
(2) Belief (God)
3. the power and joy of oneness.
I feel that this unaccompanied piece, which was compiled around the same time as the death of his wife, describes the way he confronts himself when he is left alone without a companion.
In this way, his sound magic gives us a place for deep introspection as well.

Performing this work is a stage of conflict where we have no choice but to face ourselves naked. Isn't this performance far from entertainment? I received this comment one time from a member of the audience: "I'm going to see you like that. 'I am going to see you like that.
This was the moment when I realized that I was not standing on stage alone, but with those who were engaged in an inner dialogue with me.

Kaori Toda graduated from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in the Netherlands. He has participated in orchestras including Bach Collegium Japan and La Petite Band (conducted by Sigiswald Kuijken).
For six years since 2006, she was concert mistress of the Classical Players Tokyo (Masahiro Arita, conductor).
In chamber music, she has performed with the Kuijken Family, Walter van Hauwe, Jos van Immerseel, and Andreas Scholl.
In 2001, she formed the ensemble group "Anima Concordia" with Paul Herrera. (www.animaconcordia.com) He has released CDs of J.M. Leclerc's complete "Sonatas for two violins" and "The Uncivilized - Duets of the Violinists of Versailles".
He currently teaches younger students at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
This concert will be realized through a deep dialogue with the Jazz Populace House.
