I feel that Bach's unaccompanied works have three streams of music in common with church music.

(1) Expression of emotion (I)
(2) Belief (God)
3. the power and joy of oneness

In this unaccompanied piece, which was compiled around the same time as the death of his wife, he seems to have written about himself as he confronts the loss of his companion and is left alone.
In this way, his sound magic gives us a place for deep introspection as well.

Performing this work is a stage of conflict where we have no choice but to face ourselves naked. Isn't this performance far from entertainment? I received this comment one time from a member of the audience: "I'm going to see you like that. 'I am going to see you like that.
This was the moment when I realized that I was not standing on stage alone, but with those who were engaged in an inner dialogue with me.
I am looking forward to what I will hear in the dialogue with you all this time.

Kaori Toda graduated from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in the Netherlands. He has participated in orchestras including Bach Collegium Japan and La Petite Band (conducted by Sigiswald Kuijken).
For six years since 2006, she was concert mistress of the Classical Players Tokyo (Masahiro Arita, conductor).
In chamber music, he has performed with many musicians, including the Kuijken Family, Walter van Hauwe, Jos van Immerseel, and Andreas Scholl.
In 2001, she formed the ensemble group "Anima Concordia" with Paul Herrera. (www.animaconcordia.com) J.M. Leclerc, "Sonatas for two violins", complete works,

After serving as a lecturer at Toho Gakuen School of Music, he currently teaches younger students at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
