Yoshifumi ARIZUMI (Cello)
Born in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, ARIZUMI Yoshifumi began studying the cello at the age of two and a half, and at the age of 17 moved to Germany (Cologne) to further his studies. After returning to Japan, he completed the diploma course at Toho Gakuen School of Music, and then went to France. He was allowed to advance to the soloist course at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris after winning the first prize in the graduation examination of the cello and chamber music department of the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris. Graduated from the Conservatoire de Musique in the 12th arrondissement of Paris (Paul Dukas) in the chamber music department. Entered the Regional Conservatory of Boulogne, France. First prize in the graduation examination and acceptance into the research program, followed by graduation. He won the second prize at the UFAM International Competition in France.
His main performance activities are as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestra extraordinaire. He has performed in concerts and events in Japan and abroad, as well as on TV, radio, and commercials.
