This is the first concert presented by Makoto Ueno, combining Albéniz and Ravel. The program will feature Albéniz's largest and last piano works, "Iberia" Vol. 1 and 2, and Ravel's piano collection "Mirror. Iberia" is characterized by its unique color palette, diverse rhythms, and textural beauty that makes the most of the pedal-powered piano's timbre. In "Mirror," each piece evokes a different imagined place, time, and culture, with a delicate underlying poetic sentiment.
