The Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra presents the second concert in its special series. In the first half of the program, the orchestra will present "Japanese Songs" by Koichi Kishi, a composer who died prematurely at the age of 28, with soprano Ayano Nonomura, who is active in a wide range of genres from classical music to Japanese songs. This will be a rare opportunity to rediscover the ambitious works of Koichi Kishi. The second half of the concert will feature Mahler's magnificent and moving "Symphony No. 1. A pre-concert talk by Principal Guest Conductor Yukio Fujioka is scheduled before the performance to deepen the audience's understanding of the piece.
