■The 61st Regular Concert of Hikarigaoka Orchestra

The Hikarigaoka Orchestra, a.k.a. "Hikakan," is based in Nerima Ward, Tokyo.
For this subscription concert, the group will explore the essence of classical music with conductor Erika Kiko, with whom they have performed together for many years and who has earned their mutual trust!

The two works to be performed are Beethoven's lively No. 4 and Haydn's matured No. 99.
We will challenge these masterpieces, which are rarely performed by amateur orchestras, with an honest and fresh sound that is typical of us today.


About Hikarigaoka Orchestra
The Hikarigaoka Orchestra was formed in 1994 in the Hikarigaoka district of Tokyo's Nerima Ward, with the aim of "music activities rooted in the community. The group is affectionately known as "Hikakan" by its members and the local community.

Currently, the group is made up of members from diverse backgrounds, ranging in age from their 30s to 70s, and is active under the slogan, "One note, one soul. The group challenges a wide range of repertoire, from classical to modern and Japanese works, and makes the most of each and every concert.

We have been advancing step by step, and this year's regular concert will be our 61st. All of the members look forward to seeing you at this year's concert!
