Cocktail Concert vol.2

We are pleased to present "Cocktail Concert vol.2," a concert featuring clarinet, violin, cello, and piano. This concert is not a group with specific fixed members, but a project realized by performers who come together on a case-by-case basis, valuing the interest of the composition itself and the encounter of music on an ad hoc basis.

This composition differs slightly from the usual form of chamber music in that the addition of the clarinet to the strings and piano creates a unique expansion in the layers of sound and color. The main attraction of this piece is that each instrument can play either the leading role or an accompaniment, changing its expression from scene to scene.

This year's program does not rely on widely known masterpieces, but focuses on works that are rarely featured in actual concerts. For many of the audience, this will be the first time to hear this music live. That is why we hope that you will not just casually listen to the music as usual, but concentrate a little on what kind of sounds will be heard and how the music will develop.

On the other hand, it is not difficult music, and each piece has its own beauty, interest, and charm that draws you in. The program, which changes compositions as it progresses, allows the audience to naturally feel the individuality of each instrument and the differences in resonance caused by the combination of instruments.

The venue, 5/R Hall & Gallery in Chikusa, is close to the audience, allowing them to feel even the smallest nuance of sound and breath. The intimate atmosphere of the hall will allow you to enjoy a musical experience that is a little different from the usual.

This is a concert where you can experience the "fun of encountering unfamiliar music," rather than the "relief of knowing familiar pieces.
