The Flute Ensemble The Step, a group of professional flutists formed by former Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra principal flutist Hiroshi Noguchi and his students, will hold its 17th regular concert at Oji Hall in Ginza, Tokyo. The unique ensemble sound, which has been refined over the past 30 years since its formation in 1996, is full of charm that cannot be heard anywhere else and can only be heard at the STEP. In this performance, the ensemble will present a variety of programs, including J. Strauss II's gorgeous "Emperor's Circle Dance," in pursuit of the possibilities of the flute's sound.
