This is the fourth performance of the chamber music series "Suito Yanagawa Five Star Concert" presented by the Yanagawa Civic Cultural Center. Five top-class players active in Japan and abroad will gather to connect the culture of Yanagawa with music from around the world. This performance features works by Ukrainian composer Silvestrov and prayer music that holds the memories of the peoples of Eastern Europe. In addition, Rikuya Terashima will give the world premiere of a commissioned new work, in which he breathes life into the words of the poet Kitahara Hakushu, together with a citizens' choir.
