As part of the Gargantua Music Festival 2026, we are pleased to present "Rachmaninoff with All His Might" by world-renowned pianist Tomoki Sakata. Mr. Sakata is the first Asian male winner of the Franz Liszt International Piano Competition in 2016, and also boasts a brilliant record of winning the fourth prize at the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition in 2021. With a clear touch and superb technique that has been described as "like an angel playing," he will perform a superb program including Rachmaninoff's "Vocalise," "Hour of Paradise," and Liszt's "Spanish Rhapsody. Please come and enjoy the inspiring piano music presented by the largest music festival in Hokuriku at the Takaoka City Lifelong Learning Center.
