One of the things I have always wanted to do was to hold a concert in a prewar Western-style house, and this year it will be realized.

The venue was Chorakuso, which stands on the same site as the old Yamase post office building in Yoshinogawa City, Tokushima Prefecture, the land of indigo. It is a house of a wealthy farmer built in the early Showa period (1926-1989) with a blue Western-style building, a wonderful back room, and an indigo bed, and is a cultural asset of the Japan Heritage Site "Awa, the home of indigo.

The evening session is a French Baroque-only program. The evening concert will be held under the dim lights of the original building, so it will be a concert with full of atmosphere.
In the daytime (two performances), you can enjoy the sounds of European countries, from famous composers such as Bach and Handel to those you may not have a chance to hear very often.

Both programs will be accompanied by commentary, so we hope that you will come with the intention of listening to music you have never heard before. Not only for music lovers, but also for architecture lovers and retro lovers! Let's spend time together in a wonderful space filled with live sound!
