Dai Miyata, internationally acclaimed cellist and the first Japanese winner of the 2009 Rostropovich International Cello Competition, will perform with pianist Julien Gernet, with whom he has collaborated for the past 10 years. The first half of the program will feature French scents and scenes, while the second half will feature unique arrangements of American works by Gershwin and John Williams. Please enjoy the overwhelming performance of this special composition, available only this year. The deep tone of the Stradivarius and the delicate piano of Gernet make for a supreme ensemble that is not to be missed.
